Westside Housing Association Inc. was established in 1984 and began with 39 homes, which were supplied by the State Government under a Funding Agreement by the Community Housing Authority and Westside Housing Association Inc. to manage these properties.
In more recent years, our housing stock has increased with Westside Housing currently managing in excess of 300 properties. With plans for future developments and sustained growth Westside Housing aims to be an integral part of Community Housing now and in the future.
Westside Housing is governed by an elected skills based Board of Directors, independent of our day to day operations which are managed by the Chief Executive Officer and supported by our professional and dedicated staff.
The Service Excellence Program is an internationally accredited quality framework that organisations from government and non-government sectors strive to achieve.
Wanting to continually improve all we do; Westside Housing Association Inc. began working towards the Award level of the Service Excellence Quality program. In June 2010, Westside Housing Association Inc. was assessed and successful in achieving the Award level accreditation.
The award certificate and Star was presented at a ceremony held on 2 September 2010 as management received the Award Level certificate and a Service Excellence glass Star from Joslene Mazel, Chief Executive, Department for Families and Communities.
Westside Housing Association Inc.’s. quality approach to service delivery, long term housing solutions and sustainable client outcomes was again confirmed in May 2013 and again in August 2014 when we were once again assessed under the Service Excellence Quality Framework and once again achieved the Award level.
Consistent achievement of the Award level is testament to the work of the Westside Team to continually improve the services we provide. Westside continues to work for better housing to reduce homelessness.
