A FREE Tool Library of garden tools for the Westside Housing community.

Lawn mower / Whipper snipper / Extendable tree saw / Extendable tree lopper / Brooms / Shovels / Rakes

Membership

You must join as a member before you are able to borrow items.
At the time of your first hire you will be given the address of the Tool Library.

You need to fill out and return these forms:

Tool Library Rules, Indemnity and Waiver

If you cannot download and complete these forms, please call us on 8155 6070 we will post forms to you (with a reply paid envelope).

Borrowing

Call us on 08 8155 6070 or email community@wha.org.au to book in your hire.
* Please give a minimum of 3 working day notice of hire.

Borrowing times

You can borrow each tool for up to ONE WEEK at a time*.
Preferred collection/drop off days are Wed-Fri (staff availability)
* Your hire can be extended depending on availability and demand. 

Collecting tools

Collection

The library is located in Ridleyton, and we prefer that you come and collect and drop off the items from here.

Drop off/pick up

We understand that some people don’t have a car or a car suitable to transport the tools.
Call us and we can arrange delivery and collection (wait times will apply for this option).

Deposit

A $20 deposit is required for the lawn mower and whipper sniper.
A $2 deposit is required for all other items.
* You will receive your money back (cash only) once the tools are returned in a good, clean and undamaged condition.

Request tools

If you want to see us add more tools to the library – please let us know.
We are happy to consider buying extra tools that meet the needs of our tenants.

*We cannot have any corded electric items for safety reasons.

Volunteer as a Tool Librarian

We are on the look out for new Tool Library volunteers: Tool Librarians.
If you are good with tools, have a car and have good people skills with 3-4 hours to spare every fortnight, please contact us.
